International English Language Testing System [IELTS]
The IELTS score is a universally recognised requirement for English language proficiency in almost every country, including the US, UK, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, in order to pursue higher education. While institutions typically consider a score of 6.0 for undergraduate admission and 6.0-7.0 for graduate entrance, the highest band score that can be achieved is 9.0.
Academic
The IELTS Academic module assesses your proficiency in the English language to see if you have what it takes to pursue a professional training programme or a degree programme. The Academic Module must be completed by students who want to enrol in a university or other higher education institution.
General Training
Those who want to apply for immigration possibilities, short courses, vocational training programmes, or secondary school enrolment should use the General Training module.
Test Pattern
- Part 1: Listening (4 sections; 30 minutes)
- Part 2: Reading (3 passages; 60 minutes)
- Part 3: Writing (2 tasks; 60 minutes)
- Part 4: Speaking (Interview; 10-15 minutes)

The IELTS Support Centre operates from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm every day of the week, providing the opportunity to conduct multiple Speaking interviews and receive feedback. In addition, you can practice Listening and have your writing scripts reviewed at the centre. Mock test results are typically available within 48 hours.
You can retake our course until you achieve your desired score.
Additionally, we provide complimentary course materials, including four in-house books covering the Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking sections, as well as daily lecture notes.
Registration Centre Guidance
Our dedicated staff members are available to assist you with registering for the British Council IELTS exam. The IELTS (Academic/GT) registration fee is Tk. 20,500, while the IELTS UKVI registration fee is Tk. 22,550.
